e&, the leading telecommunications company in the United Arab Emirates, asked us to develop a new store concept: IA Smart Store.

A smart store that combines innovation, personalization, and technology.

The challenge was to create a coherent, accessible, and surprising experience that seamlessly integrated various technologies to shape the experience.

Touch down.

Under the umbrella of Artificial Intelligence, we developed five digital experiences that demonstrate that AI, used creatively, can redefine and personalize the shopping experience:

  • A virtual assistant welcomes each customer and answers any questions about how the experience works in several languages.

  • A Holo 3D screen where you can customize your soccer team’s jersey, as well as add your name and favorite number. All this while you visualize it on an interactive virtual mannequin and see the result.

  • Try Before You Buy: thanks to artificial intelligence, try on any garment from the catalog and take a photo of yourself wearing it. A revolution in the market and one of the experiences that attracted the most attention.

  • Dynamic Shelves: a horizontal transparent screen where you can discover all the features and information you need with just a couple of taps. The physical and digital worlds come together.

  • Finally, the Control Room, where store managers have control and information about all the experiences, as well as the ability to launch content at any time and on all connected screens.

Scope of the impact.

The AI Smart Store became one of the most visited stands in the e& space, positioning it as a leader in smart retail.

Estimated results:

  • +3000 interactions with the experiences.

  • Thousands of interactions shared on social media.

  • 92% satisfaction among visitors surveyed.

  • Local media coverage highlighting the innovative role of the AI Smart Store.

  • Is this the future of retail? We don’t know, but it may be very similar.
